The sending of the CNIL’s productions translated in English is a processing of personal data managed by the French Data Protection Authority
Purpose of data processing
The purpose of the processing is to send the CNIL's productions translated in English.
It allows the CNIL to send you information on CNIL’s news and to answer your possible requests and questions.
Article 6(1) (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR
This data processing falls under the exercise of official authority vested in the CNIL in application of the GDPR and the amended French Data Protection Act.
Categories of data processed
- e-mail address,
- where appropriate, exchanges following dispatch of the production.
Source of data
The data were collected through prior exchanges with the recipients or from open sources.
Mandatory nature of data collection
This collection is not binding and recipients may request the removal of their contact from the list at any time.
Automated decision making
The processing does not involve automated decision making.
Data recipient categories
The data recipients are:
- The CNIL’s Department of European and International Affairs;
- Where appropriate, other CNIL’s departments concerned, in order to ensure that any questions that may have been asked are answered.
Data transfers outside the EEA
Personal data may be included in the CNIL’s productions translated into English and may therefore be transferred outside the EEA depending on the data recipient’s place of residence (derogation article 49 1 (d)).
Data retention period
The CNIL retains the e-mail address as long as the data subject does not unsubscribe following the instructions specified in the sending message.
Security measures are implemented in accordance with the information systems security policy (PSSI) of the CNIL, which is derived from the State's PSSI.
Your rights on your personal data
You can access and obtain a copy of the data concerning you, object to the processing of this data, have it corrected or deleted. You also have the right to limit the processing of your data.
