Mission 2: accompanying compliance and advising
Supporting organisations is one of the CNIL's fundamental missions. Although the implementation of the GDPR has put an end to most prior formalities, the CNIL remains committed to creating new tools to support the job of data protection officer (DPO).
Since the GDPR entering into, compliance has become an indicator of good governance, addressing the issues of reputation, trust and competitive advantage for companies.
In order to help private and public organizations prepare for the implementation of the RGPD, the CNIL offers a complete toolbox adapted to their size and needs.
The CNIL's advisory and regulatory activity is varied: opinions on draft texts of governmental origin concerning the protection of personal data or creating new files, advice, participation in parliamentary hearings. Within the framework of this activity, the CNIL seeks solutions enabling public and private organizations to pursue their legitimate objectives in strict compliance with citizens' rights and freedoms.
